Corn Nematode Module Released

The Crop Adviser Institute (CAI) has just released a new educational module on corn nematodes through the Iowa State University.  Working with Dr. Greg Tylka from the Plant Pathology department and Dr. Allan Ciha from the Iowa State University Agronomy Department, the CAI has put together informational material on this plant-parasitic roundworm.

After using the module
you will be able to:

  • Discuss the biology of corn nematodes
  • Identify symptoms of nematode damage to corn
  • Discuss scouting techniques and sampling techniques for determining if a field has corn nematode
  • Identify current management options for corn nematodes
  • Discuss the feeding and damage characteristics of a new cyst nematode on corn
